The Mull chair is constructed of post-formed plastic shells and suede upholstered padding, which conceal its tubular steel frame. Its backrest takes the form of an elongated ‘U’, deliberately enveloping the user and emphasising comfort and leisure. Its base incorporates a detachable footrest that, when in place, closes the form of the chair and, when separated, compliments the sleekness and functionality of the piece – the base and footrest both mimicking the shape of the chair’s back in their own right.

The Mull chair re-evaluates the traditional armchair, both in its shape and with its contrasting materials: soft suede where there is direct user contact and lacquered plastic on those surfaces that face away from the sitter.
