Client   The Architecture Foundation
A low tech, targeted program of street furniture and paving, making use of existing elements where possible and inserting new areas of paving and lighting in certain defined areas. The proposed scheme sees every piece of street furniture as a node in a journey through the site. Existing elements and new insertions are linked by steel strips and low-level LED lighting set into the floor, inscribing paths into the ground as ribbons to walk along. The street will become looser and more playful, with lines of light drawing new walking routes along the pavement.
