Hauser and Wirth holds a diverse portfolio on Upper Deeside comprising a mix of Category B and C Listed buildings located within the Ballater and Braemar Conservation Areas.

During the construction phase of the Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar our scope was extended to include renovation of nine HMO properties for 85 staff, as well as the conversion of a former care home into 20 flats. We worked closely with the client, adapting to evolving needs; integrating staff housing sensitively into local communities; securing all statutory approvals and tailoring procurement strategies.  Our role comprised Architect, Project Manager, Client Representative and Construction Manager.

Throughout, a consistent core team ensured continuity and expertise - we engaged with senior client leadership, local authorities, the National Park, and the public to shape delivery. We led design coordination, advised on assembling consultant teams, and managed diverse procurement methods tailored to each project, including Construction Management, Design and Build, and Traditional Contracts.
