Situated within the densely wooded area to the south of Braemar, Kindrochit will offer a significant increase in staff accommodation for the recently completed Fife Arms Hotel and future Invercauld Arms Hotel. The project is comprised of two low-impact new build accommodation buildings, which occupy a natural clearning and a dip in the site's contours.

Aerial view of a residential area with a large green space, marked for new construction, surrounded by trees and houses, architecture by MOXON Architects.

The new buildings are designed to be as low-impact and flexible as possible: raised above ground to minimise disruption to the landscape, and designed as modular timber construction to expedite build time.

Distributing the accommodation across two buildings – as opposed to one large block – allows a mix of domestic scaled buildings, orientated within the contours of the site, and offering greater flexibility in responding to context.
