Andrew leads innovative schemes that prioritise sustainable design, conservation and regeneration, creating a positive impact for communities and the environment.  

Andrew joined Moxon in 2017, becoming a director in 2024. Today he manages projects ranging from large and industrial to historic and rural. Andrew’s passion lies in guiding the creative process, transforming concepts into successful, contextual buildings. His excellent technical abilities allow him to closely coordinate elements of architecture, engineering, and landscape design, and his BIM and Passive House expertise drive efficiency across the practice.  

Prior to Moxon, Andrew was project architect on the Quartermile development in Edinburgh for Foster + Partners, one of Scotland’s largest mixed-use urban regeneration schemes. 

Andrew is a visiting tutor on the postgraduate architecture programme at Robert Gordon University, focusing on the role of conservation projects in sustaining rural communities. He also enjoys fencing and sailing and is an active member of his local Community Council. 

Andrew Macpherson is based at the Scottish office.
