Channel View Bridge
Channel View Bridge
Spanning the River Taff in Cardiff, this 170m long crossing will form a vital link between two urban parks, improving access to local schools, leisure opportunities and the city’s expanding active travel network.
The design responds to the river bend with a dynamic, asymmetric span configuration. Steel girders run above and below deck with fluidity, and the deck flares at its apex to incorporate generous viewing platforms, combining dynamic views and a distinctive silhouette.
Moxon is working on the bridge with co-designer Arcadis for Cardiff Council as part of Grangetown's Channel View redevelopment.
