Cầu Cam Lâm
Cầu Cam Lâm
Cam Lam is an ambitious new development on the North Cam Ranh Peninsula in the Khanh Hoa Province. A city is literally rising from the previously rural lagoon. Entirely new infrastructure will form the foundation, supporting the new community and growing tourism industry.
The bridge design draws inspiration not only from bridge precedents but also from vernacular Vietnamese fishing structures. The graceful, draped curves of fishing nets and their slender, leaning support poles - held by simple tie-back cords - evoke the elegance and balance of suspension bridge cables.
These elements influenced the bridge’s leaning towers and taut backstay cables, create a structure that feels both nautical and industrial, reminiscent of masts, sails, and dockside cranes. While rooted in these references, the bridge ultimately evolves into a unique and original form.
