A new garden extension that restores, connects and enriches.
Coombe Lane

The extension takes the form of two interlocking volumes, defined by clean lines and precise brickwork detailing. This compositional strategy has been calibrated to complement the expressive character of the original house, allowing new and old to coexist in calm architectural dialogue.
Designed for a family intending to make this their long-term home, the intervention provides a sequence of light-filled spaces that significantly enhance both visual and physical connections to the rear garden. The removal of a previous glazed rear structure enabled the restoration of the original rear elevation, reinstating clarity to the host building’s form.
A new natural swimming pool establishes a fluid transition between the raised terrace and the garden beyond, contributing to biodiversity while reinforcing the project’s garden focussed approach. The result is a robust and future-facing home: carefully crafted, environmentally responsive, and positively embedded within its historic context.
