Jamie Kinghorn

Architect

MA(Hons) MArch PGDip (Dist.) ARB

A talented draughtsman and model maker, Jamie’s love of design is matched by his dedication to visual presentation and storytelling.

Jamie’s graphic design skills are valuable to Moxon’s bids and competition submissions, and to feasibility studies and public consultations on schemes including HS2. Jamie has been instrumental to many of our projects in sensitive and protected landscapes, including our award-winning studio in Crathie, Gairnshiel Jubilee Bridge in the Cairngorms National Park, and our restoration work for the Mar Lodge Estate.

Jamie graduated from both the University of Edinburgh and the University of Greenwich with distinction. Today he teaches at the Robert Gordon University School of Architecture on innovative approaches to the design process. As a member of the Mountain Bothies Association, Jamie regularly carries out maintenance work on remote emergency shelters. He has recently renovated a traditional granite ‘but and ben’ cottage in Aberdeenshire with his wife, learning new trades along the way.

Jamie Kinghorn is based at the Scottish office.
